老人极度苛刻可以不赡养吗 -法律知识

法律分析：
不可以。子女对父母有赡养扶助的义务，子女不履行赡养义务时，无劳动能力的或生活困难的父母，有要求子女付给赡养费的权利。如果老人极为苛刻，无法正常共同生活的，物质上的供养必须要有。
法律依据：
《中华人民共和国民法典》 第二十六条 父母对未成年子女负有抚养、教育和保护的义务。成年子女对父母负有赡养、扶助和保护的义务。
