释义	法律分析: 如果父亲死亡，由于叔叔还在世，若其也具有赡养能力，应当由叔叔单独承担赡养义务。如果叔叔也死亡，或者叔叔无力赡养，那作为孙子的你就应当赡养爷爷。也就是说，孙子不是直接的赡养义务人，是有条件的。法律依据: 《中华人民共和国民法典》第一千零六十七条父母不履行抚养义务的，未成年子女或者不能独立生活的成年子女，有要求父母给付抚养费的权利。成年子女不履行赡养义务的，缺乏劳动能力或者生活困难的父母，有要求成年子女给付赡养费的权利。
