释义	在受送达人下落不明或者用其他方式无法送达的情况下，人民法院通过公告将诉讼文书有关内容告知受送达人的一种特殊的送达方式。法律依据：《民事诉讼法司法解释》第一百三十八条规定：公告送达可以在法院的公告栏和受送达人住所地张贴公告，也可以在报纸、信息网络等媒体上刊登公告，发出公告日期以最后张贴或者刊登的日期为准。对公告送达方式有特殊要求的，应当按要求的方式进行。公告期满，即视为送达。
