释义	法律分析：主合同到期后可以签订担保合同。在担保的主合同到期之日起六个月内,债权人向担保人主张过权利或提起仲裁诉讼,担保人仍然要承担担保责任。一般保证的保证人与债权人未约定保证期间的，保证期间为主债务履行期届满之日起六个月。法律依据《中华人民共和国民法典》第六百八十一条保证合同是为保障债权的实现，保证人和债权人约定，当债务人不履行到期债务或者发生当事人约定的情形时，保证人履行债务或者承担责任的合同。
