合同不平等条款是可以变更的，双方可以协商变更，也可以请求人民法院或者仲裁机构变更。如果有不平等的格式条款或者提供格式条款一方免除其责任、加重对方责任、排除对方主要权利的，该条款无效。

《中华人民共和国民法典》 第一百五十一条 一方利用对方处于危困状态、缺乏判断能力等情形，致使民事法律行为成立时显失公平的，受损害方有权请求人民法院或者仲裁机构予以撤销。
