释义	法律分析：告诉，诉讼术语。被害人或其法定代理人向司法机关控告揭发犯罪人及其犯罪事实，并要求依法追究其刑事责任的行为。告诉的意义在于可以直接揭露犯罪人及其罪行，有利于打击刑事犯罪活动；我国刑法规定的告诉才处理的案件，只有被害人或其法定代理人向人民法院告诉以后，才能接受和审理。告诉的形式分为书面和口头2种。法律依据：《中华人民共和国刑法》第九十八条本法所称告诉才处理，是指被害人告诉才处理。如果被害人因受强制、威吓无法告诉的，人民检察院和被害人的近亲属也可以告诉。
