a2驾驶证期满后需申请办理手续吗 |

法律分析：在驾驶证(正常状态下)有效期满前90日内带上身份证(非户籍地申领的需要提交暂住证)、驾驶证和证件相片3张到发证车管所填写《机动车驾驶证申表》，然后到车管所指定的体检点参加体检获身体条件证明(体检费30元左右)后，一并提交办理换证业务即可，工本费10元，稍等领回(6年无12分记录换领有效期为10年、10元无12分记录的领回有效其为长期的)新的驾驶证。
如果人在外地无法办理换证业务时，在暂住地车管所领取并填写好一份《机动车驾驶证申表》、并在住地车管所指定的体检点参加体检获取身体条件证明后一同寄回(身体条件证明和《机动车驾驶证申表》要与委托人共同签字，所以必须要在暂住地完成)委托亲友帮忙办理。
驾驶证在有效期满前90日内换证，过期失效，未换证前不能继续驾驶机动车，连续三个记分周期不办理年审或有效期满不换证超过一年的将被注销。
法律依据：《中华人民共和国道路交通安全法》 第十九条 驾驶机动车，应当依法取得机动车驾驶证。 申请机动车驾驶证，应当符合国务院公安部门规定的驾驶许可条件;经考试合格后，由公安机关交通管理部门发给相应类别的机动车驾驶证。 持有境外机动车驾驶证的人，符合国务院公安部门规定的驾驶许可条件，经公安机关交通管理部门考核合格的，可以发给中国的机动车驾驶证。 驾驶人应当按照驾驶证载明的准驾车型驾驶机动车;驾驶机动车时，应当随身携带机动车驾驶证。 公安机关交通管理部门以外的任何单位或者个人，不得收缴、扣留机动车驾驶证。
