退房的时候合同要交给他们么?

退房的时候合同不用交。合同签订各方本来就有权利保有一份合同,合同到期如果不续签,租客退房,房东退押金。如果任何一方违约,可以协商解决,也可以诉讼解决。
法律依据:
《中华人民共和国民法典》 第五百七十七条 当事人一方不履行合同义务或者履行合同义务不符合约定的,应当承担继续履行、采取补救措施或者赔偿损失等违约责任。
