释义	法律分析：从初次领取驾驶证的那一天开始计算，每12个月为一个周期。法律依据：《机动车驾驶证申领和使用规定》第五十五条道路交通安全违法行为累积记分周期(即记分周期)为12个月,满分为12分,从机动车驾驶证初次领取之日起计算。依据道路交通安全违法行为的严重程度,一次记分的分值为：12分、6分、3分、2分、1分五种(附件2)。第五十六条对机动车驾驶人的道路交通安全违法行为,处罚与记分同时执行。机动车驾驶人一次有两个以上违法行为记分的,应当分别计算,累加分值。
