释义
绳刑是一种残酷的刑罚，是让人坐在绳子上，其他人来回扯动绳子以伤害人的肉体。现代刑法已经没有这种刑罚了。

《中华人民共和国刑法》
第五条 刑罚的轻重，应当与犯罪分子所犯罪行和承担的刑事责任相适应。
