释义	法律分析：应该及时将押金退还给当事人，即如果合同期满双方权利义务履行完毕，押金应该退还，若不退押金那就是违法的,如果当事人一-方有违约情形的，合同中约定此种情形押金不予退回的，不退押金就是合法的。所以如果不退押金的话，那么当事人可以依法进行维权。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第七百三十四条租赁期限届满，承租人继续使用租赁物，出租人没有提出异议的，原租赁合同继续有效，但是租赁期限为不定期。租赁期限届满，房屋承租人享有以同等条件优先承租的权利。
