释义	刑事拘留是公安机关、人民检察院对直接受理的案件，在侦查过程中，遇到法定的紧急情况时，对于现行犯或者重大嫌疑分子所采取的临时剥夺其人身自由的强制方法，羁押期限最长不超过37天。根据我国《刑事诉讼法》第83条的规定，公安机关拘留人的时候，必须出示拘留证。拘留后，应当立即将被拘留人送看守所羁押，至迟不得超过二十四小时。因此，刑事拘留后，被拘留人在24小时以内会被关在公安局的看守所。此外，异地执行拘留的，应当在到达管辖地后24小时以内将犯罪嫌疑人送看守所羁押。法律依据《刑事诉讼法》第91条
