释义	刑事拘留是公安机关、人民检察院对直接受理的案件，在侦查过程中，遇到法定的紧急情况时，对于现行犯或者重大嫌疑分子所采取的临时剥夺其人身自由的强制方法。犯罪嫌疑人被刑事拘留后，一般被羁押在看守所内。国家保护犯罪嫌疑人的合法、正当权利，在看守所拘留期间，犯罪嫌疑人依法享有人身安全得到保障、饮食休息的权利、自己为自己辩护、委托律师提供法律帮助、核对询问笔录等权利，且权利被侵犯时也有权依法提出回避、控告。故犯罪嫌疑人在刑事拘留期间，不会发生被打的问题。法律依据《刑事诉讼法》第91条
