释义	欠条是属于民事借贷合同，它是属于不要式合同，只要有对方的亲笔签名、借款金额、借款日期就可以了，别的内容是补充性的，非必要的。也就是说手印可以没有，但是必须要有对方的亲自签名和相关的内容即可。因此，只要有亲笔签名，可以不用按手印。法律依据：《最高人民法院关于审理民间借贷案件适用法律若干问题的规定》第二十条他人在借据、收据、欠条等债权凭证或者借款合同上签名或者盖章，但是未表明其保证人身份或者承担保证责任，或者通过其他事实不能推定其为保证人，出借人请求其承担保证责任的，人民法院不予支持。
