释义	责任免除是保险合同中规定保险人不负给付保险责任的范围。责任免除大多采用列举的方式，即在保险条款中明文列出保险人不负赔偿责任的范围。从逻辑上讲，责任免除中列举的内容本属于保险责任范围，但现在从中予以剔除。一般的保险责任中包括的事件很多，难以一一列尽，所以应先把保险责任规定，大多数事件是保险责任，只有一小部分事件不属于保险责任，然后再把不属于保险责任的那一小部分事件规定为责任免除，从中剔除。法律依据《保险法》第十八条
