外地学生可以异地高考。只需要满足条件即可。随着大量城市流动人口和进城务工农民工在异地工作时间的推移，其子女在流入地参加高考的问题日益迫切。2012年9月1日，国务院办公厅发出文件，要求各地在2012年12月31日前出台异地高考具体办法。截至2012年11月30日，北京最新出台的政策显示，外地户籍考生暂不能在当地报名参加。
