释义	上诉二审不是一定要开庭的。依据我国《民事诉讼法》的相关规定，在上诉二审中，如果双方当事人没有提交新证据或者没有提出新理由，二审法院就不会开庭审理；如果有新证据和新理由，二审法院可能会开庭审理。法律依据《民事诉讼法》第一百六十九条第二审人民法院对上诉案件，应当组成合议庭，开庭审理。经过阅卷、调查和询问当事人，对没有提出新的事实、证据或者理由，合议庭认为不需要开庭审理的，可以不开庭审理。第二审人民法院审理上诉案件，可以在本院进行，也可以到案件发生地或者原审人民法院所在地进行。
