释义	致人自杀，若是行为人先前实施了严重违法行为，结果致被害人自杀身亡的，可把致人自杀的结果作为一个严重情节考虑，将先前严重违法行为上升为犯罪处理。如侮辱、诽谤致他人自杀的，可对辱骂者、诽谤者以侮辱罪、诽谤罪论处。【法律依据】《中华人民共和国刑法》第二百三十二条故意杀人的，处死刑、无期徒刑或者十年以上有期徒刑；情节较轻的，处三年以上十年以下有期徒刑。第十四条明知自己的行为会发生危害社会的结果，并且希望或者放任这种结果发生，因而构成犯罪的，是故意犯罪。故意犯罪，应当负刑事责任。
