释义	我国法律未规定父债子还，父亲作为独立的民事行为能力人由其依法独立承担还款责任，子女不承担还款义务。但如果父亲过世，子女作为合法继承人继承财产，继承人不仅要承受被继承人的财产，同时也要承受被继承人所留债务，继承范围以所继承的财产为限额。【本文关联的相关法律依据】《民法典》第一千一百六十一条继承人以所得遗产实际价值为限清偿被继承人依法应当缴纳的税款和债务。超过遗产实际价值部分，继承人自愿偿还的不在此限。继承人放弃继承的，对被继承人依法应当缴纳的税款和债务可以不负清偿责任。
