释义	管制是由人民法院判决，对犯罪分子不予关押，在一定期限内限制其一定自由，交由公安机关管束和监督的一种刑罚方法。被判处管制的犯罪分子，应当由人民法院交由公安机关执行。【法律依据】《刑法》第三十八条管制的期限，为三个月以上二年以下。判处管制，可以根据犯罪情况，同时禁止犯罪分子在执行期间从事特定活动，进入特定区域、场所，接触特定的人。对判处管制的犯罪分子，依法实行社区矫正。
