释义	瓦斯超限是指煤矿采掘工作面等作业地点的瓦斯浓度超过《煤矿安全规程》规定的瓦斯浓度，必须立即停产撤人，绝不允许冒险作业。如采煤工作面瓦斯浓度达到1%必须报警，达到或超过1.5%必须断电立即撤人。法律依据: 《煤矿重大安全生产隐患认定办法（试行）》第四条瓦斯超限作业”是指下列情形之一的：1)瓦斯检查员配备数量不足的；2）不按规定检查瓦斯，存在假检、漏检的；3）井下瓦斯超限后不采取措施继续作业的。
