问题	什么叫调解协议？
释义	调解协议是指在人民法院的主持下，双方当事人就他们之间的民事争议及权利义务关系达成的并经人民法院确认的协议。调解协议约定一方提供担保或案外人同意为当事人提供担保的，人民法院应当允许。但是，人民法院对具有下列事由的调解协议不予确认：（1）侵害国家利益、社会公共利益的; （2）侵害案外人利益的; （3）违背当事人真实意思的; （4）违反法律、行政法规禁止性规定的。【本文关联的相关法律依据】《民事诉讼法》第九十六条，调解达成协议，必须双方自愿，不得强迫。调解协议的内容不得违反法律规定。
