口头辞职是有效的，但是需要用人单位证明劳动者已通过口头方式来辞职，劳动者要保留提出口头离职的证据。同时，辞职需提前三十天通知用人单位，试用期需提前三天。《劳动法》第三十一条：劳动者解除劳动合同，应当提前三十日以书面形式通知用人单位。
