法律分析:
港澳通行证需要携带相关材料前往公安局出入境管理部门申请办理。在户口所在地办理要提供本人户籍证明，包括身份证及户口本。而异地办理除了户籍证明还需提供与身份相对应的材料，高等院校在读的学生需提供加盖学校公章的证明及学生证。就业人员需提供一年及以上有效的居住证、社保证明。

《中国公民因私事往来香港地区或者澳门地区的暂行管理办法》 第六条 内地公民因私事前往香港、澳门，须向户口所在地的市、县公安局出入境管理部门提出申请。
