释义	订婚之后可以悔婚，订婚并不具有法律效力，只有办理了结婚登记的婚姻才具有法律效力，所以是可以悔婚的。不过如果订婚是男方给付了彩礼的，则悔婚后女方需要返还彩礼，不论是哪一方悔婚只要男方要求退还彩礼，女方都需要退还。法律依据《民法典》第一千零四十九条，要求结婚的男女双方应当亲自到婚姻登记机关申请结婚登记。符合本法规定的，予以登记，发给结婚证。完成结婚登记，即确立婚姻关系。未办理结婚登记的，应当补办登记。
