释义	法律分析：一般情况下，家长体罚孩子可能会涉嫌虐待罪。如果家长经常通过打骂、冻饿、捆绑、强迫超体力劳动、限制自由、凌辱人格等手段，在肉体、精神等方面迫害、折磨、摧残一起生活的家庭成员。且导致其受到严重伤害、死亡，或者不堪忍受而自杀的。那么该家长就会触犯了刑法，会被追究刑事责任。法律依据：《中华人民共和国刑法》第二百六十条虐待家庭成员，情节恶劣的，处二年以下有期徒刑、拘役或者管制。犯前款罪，致使被害人重伤、死亡的，处二年以上七年以下有期徒刑。
