释义	担保人如果是提供担保物担保的，以担保物价值为限承担担保责任，对债务不承担连带责任。如果是保证人，并且保证合同有约定的，承担连带责任。《中华人民共和国民法典》第三百八十六条【担保物权的定义】担保物权人在债务人不履行到期债务或者发生当事人约定的实现担保物权的情形，依法享有就担保财产优先受偿的权利，但是法律另有规定的除外。第六百八十六条【保证方式】保证的方式包括一般保证和连带责任保证。当事人在保证合同中对保证方式没有约定或者约定不明确的，按照一般保证承担保证责任。
