一、红灯亮起时前轮已过线继续开算闯红灯吗
1、红灯亮起时前轮已过线继续开不算闯红灯。闯红灯以停止线为基准，红灯亮起前，前轮已过停止线的，之后后轮再过停止线的，不算闯红灯。只有在红灯亮起的时候，前轮还未过停止线但继续行驶的，才算闯红灯。驾驶机动车违反道路交通信号灯通行的，一次记6分。
2、法律依据：《中华人民共和国道路交通安全法》第二十五条
全国实行统一的道路交通信号。
交通信号包括交通信号灯、交通标志、交通标线和交通警察的指挥。
交通信号灯、交通标志、交通标线的设置应当符合道路交通安全、畅通的要求和国家标准，并保持清晰、醒目、准确、完好。
根据通行需要，应当及时增设、调换、更新道路交通信号。增设、调换、更新限制性的道路交通信号，应当提前向社会公告，广泛进行宣传。
二、闯红灯情况有哪些
1、如果车辆在红灯时只是刚刚越过停止线，但立即停住了，这种闯红灯不会进行处罚，要是过线后还有明显的位置移动，就要被处罚；
2、当信号灯与交警手势发生冲突时，机动车驾驶人要服从交警的现场指挥。如果因交警现场指挥被闯红灯，驾驶人可以到事发地交警大队开具调流证明，免于处罚；
3、如果车辆全身越过停止线后没再继续移动，这样并不算闯红灯；
4、越线停车后又倒车，按违规倒车处罚；
5、驾驶人要保持足够的望范围，要以能看到前方的信号灯、保证安全刹车距离为标准。一般情况下，机动车跟在大型车辆后面被拍，都是因为过路口抢信号按闯红灯予以处罚。
