法律分析：孩子去派出所改名字步骤
1、未成年人改名需由监护人提出申请并提供相关证明(上述材料)。如父母离异的也只需要监护人一方同意;
2、成年人由本人提出书面申请并持相关材料报公安机关审批即可;
3、填写改名申请提交给户口所在地的派出所填写更名申请
4、到户口所在地的户籍部门填写表格，工作人员盖章，所在民警签字，所长签字;
5、到户口所在地的户籍部门的上一级主管部门审批;
6、公证(超过16周岁需要公证);
7、到户籍部门打印新的户口簿，申请新的身份证。

第一千零一十二条 自然人享有姓名权，有权依法决定、使用、变更或者许可他人使用自己的姓名，但是不得违背公序良俗。
第一千零一十五条 自然人应当随父姓或者母姓，但是有下列情形之一的，可以在父姓和母姓之外选取姓氏：
（一）选取其他直系长辈血亲的姓氏；
（二）因由法定扶养人以外的人扶养而选取扶养人姓氏；
（三）有不违背公序良俗的其他正当理由。
少数民族自然人的姓氏可以遵从本民族的文化传统和风俗习惯。
