释义	法律分析：离婚案件必须双方同时到庭，因为调解是法院审理离婚案件的必经程序，双方不到场，调解是无法进行的。如果无法联系对方，短期内另一方无法办理离婚手续。但是，如果失踪者下落不明满二年，根据《民事诉讼法》规定，可以向对方住所地基层人民法院申请宣告他失踪。宣告失踪判决生效后，一方被宣告失踪的，另一方提出离婚诉讼的，应准予离婚。《民事诉讼法》第八十四条明确指出：“受送达人下落不明，或者用本节规定的其他方式无法送达的，公告送达。自发出公告之日起，经过60日，即视为送达。”
