法律分析：
工作签订合同后考上研究生，是不可以直接放弃工作的，需要和工作单位进行协商，协商同意后可以立即解除劳动合同去上研究生，如未协商通过，则可以提前一个月告知用人单位后，办理离职手续，这样是不用负任何责任的。
法律依据：
《中华人民共和国劳动合同法》
第三十六条 用人单位与劳动者协商一致，可以解除劳动合同。
第三十七条 劳动者提前三十日以书面形式通知用人单位，可以解除劳动合同。劳动者在试用期内提前三日通知用人单位，可以解除劳动合同。
