释义	借条的诉讼时效，指能得到法律保护的期限。《民法总则》规定：向人民法院请求保护民事权利的诉讼时效期间为3年。法律另有规定的依照其规定。意思就是，现在借条的有效期是多少，要看是否约定了还款时间，如果写明了还款日期，那么诉讼时效就从还款到期的次日起计算3年。如果没有约定归还时间，则最长诉讼时效为20年。
