释义	法律分析：自己的耕地上建牛棚不合法。因为当事人承包的土地，在承包合同上肯定是进行种植的，如果想建养牛棚，搞养殖，就需要先办理相应的手续才可以，这样才合法。原则上，基本农田里可以建设易于恢复、不属于设施农业的大棚（或简称为简易大棚），但不得建设属于设施农业的温室或看护房。建养殖鸭棚属于设施农业，不可以在基本农田里建设。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第二百四十四条国家对耕地实行特殊保护，严格限制农用地转为建设用地，控制建设用地总量。不得违反法律规定的权限和程序征收集体所有的土地。
