释义	根据《民法典》的规定，儿媳妇没有义务赡养婆婆，公婆与儿媳之间，虽然都是以父母子女相称，但并非以上所说法律上的父母子女关系，当然不具有父母子女间的权利和义务。但是作为赡养人的配偶，当协助赡养人履行赡养义务。并且如果丧偶的儿媳对公、婆尽了主要赡养义务的，可以作为第一顺序继承人。法律依据《中华人民共和国民法典》第二十六条【父母子女之间的法律义务】父母对未成年子女负有抚养、教育和保护的义务。成年子女对父母负有赡养、扶助和保护的义务。
