释义	赡养，指子女或晚辈对父母或长辈在物质上和生活上的帮助。《老年人权益保障法》第11条至第15条有全面规定，赡养人的大致义务包括：1、物质上的赡养。生活费用的提供是最基本的。当被赡养人患病时应当提供医疗费用和护理。应当妥善安排老年人的住房。老年人自有的或者承担的住房，子女或者其他亲属不得侵占，不得擅自改变产权关系或租赁关系。2、日常生活中的扶助。对于年老体弱、丧失生活自理能力的父母给以照顾、扶助，对生病的父母应给予悉心照顾。3、精神上给予慰藉。父母进入老年后需要亲情的慰藉以克服孤独感。
