释义	法律分析：不会失效，办理了临时身份证原来的身份证也还可以用，临时身份证是不会影响到居民身份证使用的。如果身份证已经过了有效期就不能用了，还有就是第三代身份证补办以后原身份证不能使用。但是办理临时身份证是需要在办理正式身份证的基础上的，所以要办临时身份证就需要办理正式的身份证。法律依据：《中华人民共和国居民身份证法》第十二条公民在申请领取、换领、补领居民身份证期间，急需使用居民身份证的，可以申请领取临时居民身份证，公安机关应当按照规定及时予以办理。具体办法由国务院公安部门规定。
