释义	在被继承人去世以后遗产不管过了多久不继承都不会失效，除非被继承人生前立有遗赠，知道遗赠的当事人必须要在两个月之内做出是否接受的表示，遗嘱继承和法定继承，没有规定必须在多长时间之内处理完。法律依据：根据《中华人民共和国民法典》第一千一百二十四条规定，继承开始后，继承人放弃继承的，应当在遗产处理前，以书面形式作出放弃继承的表示；没有表示的，视为接受继承。受遗赠人应当在知道受遗赠后六十日内，作出接受或者放弃受遗赠的表示；到期没有表示的，视为放弃受遗赠。
