释义	赡养老人是子女的义务。作为赡养人的女子应当履行对老年人经济上供养、生活上照料和精神上慰藉的义务，照顾老年人的特殊需要。我国刑法规定拒不赡养老人的，可构成遗弃罪。《中华人民共和国宪法》第四十九条成年子女有赡养扶助父母的义务。《中华人民共和国老年人权益保护法》第十条老年人养老主要依靠家庭，家庭成员应当关心和照料老人。这种义务是无期限的，只要父母需要赡养扶助，子女就应继续履行这一义务。并且不能以放弃继承为由拒绝履行赡养义务。该内容由闫园律师和点行律询共创回答
