强制医疗的精神病人会关一辈子吗

法律主观：
精神病人伤人会予以强制医疗。强制医疗是指非自愿性强制治疗，是国家为避免精神病人危及公共安全，通过强制对患者疾病的治疗，达到维护公共治安的效果，具有强制性、非自愿性、公益性的特点。精神病人的精神病治愈以后，其家人等利害关系人可以申请解除强制医疗。

《刑事诉讼法》
第三百零二条
实施暴力行为，危害公共安全或者严重危害公民人身安全，经法定程序鉴定依法不负刑事责任的精神病人，有继续危害社会可能的，可以予以强制医疗。
