释义	退出职工工会会员需要由会员先向工会提出申请；之后再由该会员所在的基层工会讨论后宣布予以除名，并报上级工会备案，同时通知本人并收回其工会会员证。《中国工会章程》第六条会员有退会自由。会员退会由本人向工会小组提出，由工会基层委员会宣布其退会并收回会员证。会员没有正当理由连续六个月不交纳会费、不参加工会组织生活，经教育拒不改正，应当视为自动退会。第八条会员离休、退休和失业，可保留会籍。保留会籍期间免交会费。工会组织要关心离休、退休和失业会员的生活，积极向有关方面反映他们的愿望和要求。
