问题	抚养权允许放弃吗
释义	如果孩子父母双方在争夺谁来抚养孩子的，一方可以放弃争夺，但是不能放弃孩子的抚养权，因为抚养孩子是父母的法定义务，必须履行，不得放弃或拒绝履行。即使有一方放弃争取孩子抚养权的，则这一方也需要通过支付抚养费的方式向孩子履行抚养义务。法律依据《民法典》第一千零六十七条，父母不履行抚养义务的，未成年子女或者不能独立生活的成年子女，有要求父母给付抚养费的权利。成年子女不履行赡养义务的，缺乏劳动能力或者生活困难的父母，有要求成年子女给付赡养费的权利。
