八级大风高铁不会停运。一般大风7-8级,不会影响高铁列车的运行,根椐道路状况或是否有暴风雨情况采取限速降速运行,但10级以上大风或遇台风暴雨情况,高铁列车一般均要求限速或停运以确保安全。”
法律依据：
《中华人民共和国铁路运输安全保护条例》 第五条 铁路沿线地方各级人民政府及县级以上地方人民政府安全生产监督管理等部门应当按照各自职责，做好与铁路运输安全有关的工作，加强铁路运输安全教育，落实护路联防责任制，防范和制止危害铁路运输安全的行为，协调和处理有关铁路运输安全事项。
