释义	租房在不到期的情形下，押金是否能够退还，应以合同约定为准。如果合同约定租房到期后才退还押金，那么一般不会退还。但是，也可以尝试与房东进行协商。法律依据：《中华人民共和国民法典》第五百七十七条当事人一方不履行合同义务或者履行合同义务不符合约定的，应当承担继续履行、采取补救举措或者赔偿损失等违约责任。第五百七十八条当事人一方明确表示或者以自己的行为表明不履行合同义务的，对方可以在履行期限届满前请求其承担违约责任。
