释义	新颁布的《婚姻登记条例》施行后，自愿离婚的双方，不用再苦等1个月的审查期，到婚姻登记机关办理离婚登记时，可以当场领到离婚证。根据1994年颁布的《婚姻登记管理条例》，婚姻登记管理机关对当事人的离婚申请进行审查，自受理申请之日起1个月内，对符合离婚条件的，应当予以登记，发给离婚证，注销结婚证。但这并不意味着婚姻登记机关对离婚申请的处理可以大而化之。新条例同时规定，婚姻登记机关应当对离婚登记当事人出具的证件、证明材料进行审查并询问相关情况。
