释义	律师解答：应由其自己承担债务。父亲欠债的，应由其自己承担债务。我国法律没有父债子还这种规定的。也就是子女没有义务给父亲的债务承担清偿责任，除非子女继承了父亲的遗产，那么同时是继承他的债务的，这时候就有义务返还了。即继承遗产就须继承债务，即父母死后子女继承了其遗产的，需要在遗产价值范围内还债。子女的个人财产不用来还债，或者是接受了父亲的馈赠导致父亲无非偿还债务，也须代替父亲偿还债务。
