【法律分析】
不是广州人可以通过单位方式在广州买社保了，单位参保必须缴纳五项社会保险，基本养老保险、基本医疗保险、失业保险、工伤保险、生育保险。同时，社保办理和续交有两种方式：1、个人名义交纳需要到户口所在地社保局申请转移关系即可，其参保手续包括：本人身份证，近期免冠一寸照片备两张，保费，申请书等即可。且只能办理养老，医疗保险两种。交纳多少是根据当地去年社平工资进行计算的，且每年都不是一样的。2、或者以单位方式参保或续交。而是外地户口，只能通过单位方式购买广州社保。另外，如果说办理社保，最好通过第二种单位交纳方式比较好一点，因为单位会为我们承担很大一部分费用，进而减轻自己的交费压力。而且单位方式可以参保5险1金，而个人方式只能参保养老，医疗保险2种。
【法律分析】
《中华人民共和国社会保险法》 第五十八条 用人单位应当自用工之日起三十日内为其职工向社会保险经办机构申请办理社会保险登记。未办理社会保险登记的，由社会保险经办机构核定其应当缴纳的社会保险费。自愿参加社会保险的无雇工的个体工商户、未在用人单位参加社会保险的非全日制从业人员以及其他灵活就业人员，应当向社会保险经办机构申请办理社会保险登记。国家建立全国统一的个人社会保障号码。个人社会保障号码为公民身份号码。
